About Children's Montessori Center

Children's Montessori Center was established in 2007. This year represents the 100th anniversary of Montessori Schools in America. We are proud to help celebrate this event by adding our fine school to the long list of others throughout the United States.

We have a simple goal of providing the children of North Dakota and Minnesota the most nurturing Montessori education available. Children's Montessori Center is a non-sectarian, non-discriminatory private school located in the peaceful community of Fargo, North Dakota. Our children enjoy our fine facility equipped with the best in Montessori apparatus along with the finest instructors in the greater Fargo-Moorhead area.

The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to 6 years of age.

Purpose and Philosophy

Children's Montessori Center's purpose is to provide quality education utilizing the Montessori method. Children in the Montessori environment learn through active discovery rather than through passive reception. Our teachers have received specialized training in the Montessori method, which includes teachings, observations, and materials developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Our staff commits to each family enrolled in the school to support the discovery and the development of the greatest potential within each child.

Our aim is not merely to make the child understand and still less to force him to memorize, but to touch his imagination as to enthuse him to his innermost core.
